Important Stairs Update

ATTENTION WESTSIDE MEMBERS & GUESTS:

As of August 1, 2023, the traditional main entrance to the club, via the outside stairs from the alley, will be unavailable for use for a few months. The staircase needs to be taken down and reconstructed. We’ve been told this work will happen in October, but this is subject to architectural planning and securing permitting. We will keep you apprised of timing.

In the meantime, please enter the Westside Club via the rear door, through the entrance off the parking lot behind the building. Ring the Westside doorbell, and someone will come down and let you in. Meeting chairs may want to designate a door greeter, as a service position, to stand downstairs at the back door and let people in at the start of meetings. Meeting chairs may also want to provide text numbers for meeting officers, so people arriving late to meetings can alert someone that they’re at the back door, in case no one in the main Westside hallway hears the doorbell.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is out of an abundance of caution, and a concern for our community’s safety. We hope to have brand new outside stairs in operation by the fall.
